Welcome to the rant page... I talk about stuff that pisses me off...

Well, it's halloween... I don't know if I should write a halloween rant or just get angry in general... but in the interest of being me... I'll do both at the same time...

As a young kid, I was always told to never talk to strangers, not to take candy from strangers, not to go into cars with strangers, a whole lotta rules against strangers... with that mindset, with that notion of the rules made by parents to protect there children against the unknown element and what they could be exposed to... all that said... why is it that on Halloween, parents send there children out... into the cold harsh night... to COLLECT CANDY FROM STRANGERS....

Not only are you taking candy from strangers, you're talking to them, looking slightly into there houses... the possible dogs that bark at the door... and for what? what is so important that a parent would send there child out to collect candy from unknown people whom they obviously don't trust... otherwise you wouldn't have to do that candy check after the kids get home... would ya?... no you wouldn't. so you don't trust the candy they got, but you don't want to disappoint the kids so you check the best you can and say "It seems allright"... WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!...

Why not just buy a bag of candy for the kid... go out to the store and spend ten bucks on candy the kid likes and then give it to them on Halloween... that way the kid is safe, not exposed to the chilly night air, you don't have to worry about them, they're safe, content and they don't have to dress up... and speaking of dressing up... why is it parents with strollers... put their babies in costumes?... they're in the stroller... no one is seeing them.. the only reason you had to bring the stroller was because you can't leave the baby alone at home while your two somewhat older children race from door to door for a freakin' midgee piece of candy...

Another thing that pisses me off about halloween... people who give chips... don't get me wrong, I like chips, I like doritos, lay's greasy chips... not those crappy baked ones that were a poor excuse to answer the pringles ads... but good chips bags... like fritos or cheetos, or those kinda things... I like them... but I hate getting them on halloween... it was an insult to my journey... like I went from my house to several blocks worth of houses to get a back of fritos because you didn't feel like buying candy to pass out...

and the people who give you that crappy bag of pennies... woo!... I HATE THAT!... what's the dea?.. it's a dime... a freakin' dime!... 10 cents ... that's all, the bag they put the money in cost more than what they're giving you... I sometimes wanted to yell... I don't want your damn money.. I AM NOT A WHORE!... and then throw the bag at them crying as I run away towards the next house... which coincidentally the same thing will happen all over again... because you know that if one neighbor is doing it.. there'll be more than one in that particular block...

My house here, we give out full size candy bars... no midgees, no "fun" size... what's so fun about a candy bar that's been reduced to one third the size?... anyhow, it's regular sized bars from our house... yet for some reason because there's no car in the driveway... (that's what a garage is for kids!) they just pass on by... spot and flood lights'll come on.. they just keep walking, as if they don't trust our house... it's eerily annoying... because we end up with extra candy after the night is through... all you need is a wholesale club near you .. and as a parent you too could buy regular sized candy bars and be nice to the kids that are going against all quality judgement and taking candy from a stranger... and give them candy that will make there journey across neighborhoods worthwile...

I never understood the purpose of shaving cream, eggs and toilet paper... to me it just seems like such a waste of money... why would anyone bother?... eggs you should be eating, shaving cream is for shaving and toilet paper is for wiping you tuchus... why would you go out and waste it?.. these are essential items to live off of... well, maybe not the shaving cream... one could just grow hairy... regardless... I don't see the point in wasting things you can use to harass someone you don't know...

and when they use the shaving cream.. it's always for no reason... I could understand it a bit better if, say.. they guy at the door gave you that baggy of cents... in that case.. sure throw and egg or two, shaving cream his cat... that's what he gets for being an overly cheapskate... not that I condone such measures, but I could understand if it were to happen because of the circumstance... but if you're getting actual candy.. why do something like that?.. why go out of your way to be mean to people?... because it's halloween?... it just shows that your parents didn't do a good job raising you if you resort to causing mayhem instead of just being with your friends and having fun...

And don't go saying that causing trouble is fun... doing harm to anothers property is always wrong and should never be fun... again.. if the person did something to you that can be deemed heinous and this is an act of revenge.. then I can understand the waste and effort... but to the normal common citizen?... it's just wrong... and stupid... unless you like being stupid... then by all means, be stupid... be the idiot that tortures puppies and burns ants with a magnifying glass... sit around and have gigglefits over the word.. "poo"... heh, I said "poo"... see?.. it's stupid... remember kids don't be stupid...just save the money you would've spent on eggs, toilet paper and shaving cream.. and go buy some candy... you'll enjoy Halloween more that way...

Eh... that's about it for this week... see you friday...
