Chewing on a cinnamon stick... I reflect on life.

Finished Chapter 4... Finally... it's been so long.. but luckily I'm going to reach my goal of page 50 before the new year!... so yay!...

I find as the year comes to a close, I think about how much I hate winter and the holidays within it's icy grasp... Christmas, New Years, Groundhogs Day, Valentines Day... All of these things are pure evil...

Christmas has becomed a mess of commercialism and crap... people bombarding stores and trampling people for sales and bargains... all in hopes of picking up some hi-tech crap that will become obsolete within 6 months...

New Years with the drunks who had one too many.. twice over!... and then go out to drive... I can understand social drinking.. I can tolerate alot of that crap.. but if you go overboard and get sloshed.. well, that's sad... and why?.. because it's the new year?.. you want to go into the new year drunk and getting your groove on with a person you won't remember come morning?.. at least a one night stand you got laid.. but new years you're making out with another drunk bastard in the hopes that a new year will make a difference... feh!...

Groundhog's Day.. what a farce of a holiday that is... a rodent comes out of the ground and people honestly think it can predict the weather... six weeks of winter or six weeks til spring is the same damn thing!... SIX WEEKS DOES NOT CHANGE BECAUSE OF A RODENT!...

Valentine's Day or Singles Awareness Day, as I've heard it been called... As if flowers are going to make up for the other 364 days in the year where the guy was a complete bastard to you ... even going so far as to kiss someone else on new years because he/she got sloshed... Roses are a pathetic excuse to explain away a year worth of neglect and lies... it's shameful and disgusting, and worse of all, women fall for this crap.. saying, "He loves me!.. he really does.. all those other women meant nothing to him... I can change him.. he's a good man after all..." And note how it's always the guy that has to get something for the chick... at least in japan it makes sense... valentines is for women to give a guy chocolate, and then comes "white day" where the guy buys a gift for the female in thanks for the chocolate... it works, it isn't as much a farce because both parties are expressing there affections...

That's all I got... see ya next time...
